About the destination

Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain on Earth and the highest point in Africa. Five distinct ecological zones — cultivation, rainforest, heath, alpine desert and arctic summit — packed into a single trek to Uhuru Peak.

Why visit

No technical climbing, no ropes — just a long, well-supported walk to the roof of Africa. Our Machame route includes an acclimatisation day, full mountain crew, oxygen and summit pulse-ox checks. Around 85% of our climbers summit.

Wildlife & landscape

  • Black-and-white colobus monkey in the rainforest zone
  • Blue monkey, bushbuck
  • Endemic Kilimanjaro tree-hyrax
  • Lobelias and giant groundsels of the alpine zone
